gregdorf
Pass, I was thinking along the lines of; Whisperer, 2x War pig, lots of piglets I am sure that you will still need to take Summer teeth, I know the game is structured around a "boss" and everyone else is his minions. As far as I know Teeth is the only Gremlin boss.

As far as I know Teeth is the only Gremlin boss. This is true. You'll need to take Som'er Teeth Jones to field an all Gremlin army. Honestly, I don't know how he eats bacon. He hasn't a tooth in his mouth, som'er here, som'er there, but he hasn't a single one in his face. I think he's a master of face-to-fist style. AoM
he's got a tooth. I know I done seen it when Tom showed me the picture.

goblyn13
wait a minute wait a minute...wouldnt som'er teeth eating bacon be canabalizm?? Nope, cuz gremlins aren't made of Bacon, they just grow Bacon. mmmmm...... Bacon....
EricJ
I've always sort of seen Som'er as an accomplished hog whisperer honestly, as a lot of his abilities are similar, or build upon those you see in the basic hog whisperer. He fits VERY well into an all piggy themed crew. He also fits well into an all gremlin or mixed pig/gremlin crew as well
John Paul
OK whilst waiting for my rule book, can some one give me the basic Pig and whisper costs so I can work out my order?
gregdorf
If my memory is correct piglets are 3, whisper is 5, and the warpig is 8. I do not have the stuff in front of me at the moment, so there is a strong chance I am off by a bit.
John Paul
So if the standard game is going to be around 30ss I could have; Som'er = Free Whisper = 5 8 Piglets = 24 Total = 29 1 SS left over? Or Som'er = Free Whisper = 5 War Pig = 8 5 Piglets = 15 Total = 28 2 SS left over? Thanks JP
Peterdita
I like that second line up. You get a heavy hitter, it will be less chaotic with less piggies running around and you get and extra SS to drain later.
MEdwards
25 SS list I want to run is: Som'er Teeth (0) Warpig (8) Whisperer (5) Piglets x2 (6) Gremlins x3 (6)
WEiRD sKeTCH
That's not a bad list... If you don't want any Soulstones for later that is. Edited August 20, 2009 by WEiRD sKeTCH What the heck is a boad?
MEdwards
That's not a boad list... If you don't want any Soulstones for later that is. Yea, I could easily drop a Gremlin only to summon them later...in theory
WEiRD sKeTCH
No theory about it! Summon them and give 'em a swig of 'shine!
AoM
Don't forget the wonders of Zoraida's enthrall ability. Mmmm... Gremlins, pigs, Juju and Nurses...
Dv8guy
Don't forget the wonders of Zoraida's enthrall ability. Mmmm... Gremlins, pigs, Juju and Nurses... AND pap loco to clear the field!
Sobek
25 SS list I want to run is: Som'er Teeth (0) Warpig (8) Whisperer (5) Piglets x2 (6) Gremlins x3 (6) That's what I field. Unfortunately, while games tend to start out rather well for me, my warband goes away very quickly once the enemy brings their firepower to bear. I love the flavour and the fluff. I'm still trying to figure out how to actually win with them, though.
Rogue.Gunslinger
With what I am ordering i plan to run this as my first list Som'er Teeth Jones Warpig Hog Whisperer Bayou Gremlins x5 23/25 2 soulstones just in case, but i can always just add another Gremlin to the mix depending on how things go
junkenstein
I got rulebook yesterday, and I really like th 3elook and sound of Gremlins/Piggies. I read somewhere they are quite a difficult faction to run as a new player - Is this true? (Im not a gaming noob, just new to Malifaux) Edited September 4, 2009 by junkenstein
TheLemondropDan
They involve lots of choices-- and lots of choices mean that you can have lots of chances to screw up. If you miss with a ranged shot, you shoot your buddy, if you set off a stampede too early or accidentally, you can decimate your side. Stuff like that. However, they are lots of fun, and each game should be lots of fun! I'm a big fan.
MEdwards
I hope to get in a game with them later today after learning from my mistakes from my first game with them.
