Coneman Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 I started this evil little girl a while ago but hated the initial colours of her clothes, blue and yellow, so she got put on the shelf to colect dust. Dusted her off and changed the colours for the WAMP monthly comp. First attempt at using TCR for blood. Tied for 3rd so pretty happy with that. Cheers Quote
Nathan Caroland Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Hey Coneman, haven't seen you about in a bit, don't be a stranger! Candy is looking great, love the base, have that Alice in Wonderland feel whenever I see bases like that. Quote
DeafNala Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 BEAUTIFULLY DONE! I LOVE your choice of colors & the base is VERY cool. She's such a cute little psychopath. :fing02: Quote
Coneman Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I have been around, just lurking in the background. Been heavily involved in building a huge enclosure for a friends lizards, which took longer than anticipated due to some really stupid construction choices, a plan and more thought would have helped, all the beer and weed probably didnt help either;) Its done now, he's happy, the lizards are happy and more importantly my friends wife is happy with how it looks in the house. Getting back into the paints now starting with clearing the wips from the shelf, the poor old Ice witch had her coat of dust removed today so she is coming soon. Really looking forward to getting stuck into the gremlins, they are so cool. Quote
Silmarilias Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Hey CM that looks excellent mate nice smooth neat paint job and i agree with FF about the base, i have only got as far as shading the flesh on mine at the moment and still undecided as to the final colour scheme i am thinking a bit of a cross between the Malifaux wallpaper look and the colours from the old PC game Alice by American Magee, i will try and post some W.I.P pics soon of her and baby Kade to see what people think . supervike Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 I really like it! Great smoothness, and those blood drops are disturbing! Quote
demonherald Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 hey coneman .. liking her the colour scheme suits really nicely.... lizards sounds like fun.... I've had more than my fair share of escapades with the buggers and escapes ..... be great tosee the result of your construction .. been great to see the results of your panting..... Quote
nerdelemental Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 What is "TCR" you used for the blood? Quote
Coneman Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 Cheers for the kind comments. TCR = Tamiya Clear Red paint. I only have this pic of it just before it was cleaned out and the inside stained. I cant remember the exact size but its around 1600mm(L) x 800(H) X 750(D), thats the main tank area, the lid and base are seperate. Ill get my friend to email me the pics of it at his house with the rocks, sand, logs and lizard in it and start a new thread. Cheers Quote
maple Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Thanks for sharing... I now have a source for my nightmares. I like the "not overly done" coloring on the clothing. IMO, it makes the candy basket "pop" out more than if you had done bright colors for the clothes. The blood is truly disturbing. Keep up the awesome work. Quote
elysium64 Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Very nice painting, the sweets look very tempting, will add Tamiya Clear Red to my huge shopping list. Quote
