TheBugKing Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) Well the six week waiting period is up. Now I get to post some of my pictures and videos! [ame]http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/TheBugKing/Projects/?action=view¤t=MOV00604.flv[/ame] [ame]http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/TheBugKing/Projects/?action=view¤t=MOV00605.flv[/ame] And some generic pics of the finished piece on my dining room table. C&C welcome of course. I'd be really interested in what you all might have done differently. I do appreciate the "I love it's" and the like but the criticisms are more useful. Thanks all! dargrin Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 Really cool. How is it powered? Sounds like a spring. Quote
WEiRD sKeTCH Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) I think it's a touch too rusty brown all over. More of that great corroded brass like that boiler would really make that piece pop. Like the roof of the control shack? Your next project should be a 'Jack Compactor! TheBugKing Posted June 20, 2009 Author Report Posted June 20, 2009 (edited) Really cool. How is it powered? Sounds like a spring. It is run by a small 9V motor. The hut houses the batteries. The tutorial will be up on Terrainthralls soon. (As soon as I finish reducing the size of all the pictures! They are 3Mb + right now) @WS. That's a great suggestion. I painted the bridge long before I painted the brass boiler. (To the tune of almost two weeks actually) PP has the thing now so edits are obviously out. However I will definitely keep that in mind. Jack Compacter? Hmmm. I like it! OH. And a detail of the boiler just for fun. (Off of my DA account) Edited June 20, 2009 by TheBugKing Quote
Peterdita Posted June 20, 2009 Report Posted June 20, 2009 IDK TBK, looks pretty damn awesome to me bud. I like how its mobile and can work on tons of diff. boards. Pretty ace... Only thing I could think of would be some sort or randomizer button, and you pushed it every turn and it had a mind of its own. That would be a fun scenario, your beautifully painted minis sliding off the bridges and crashing into each other. Dangerous bridge. Great work, can't wait to see the next little thing you got going on finished Quote
