Peterdita Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Here is my latest mini. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Painted it "all" weekend and was rather pleased with how it came out. I'm especially pleased with the base. It's a great Wyrd base insert that set the scene for it the Sorrow steaming out of a sewer pipe perfectly. I tried to go pretty cartoony with this and kept things rather "clean". I'm using it for a ladder challenge over on WAMP. Darkmessiah challenged me for my spot to a "Ghostly" contest (when will he learn?). I decided to try and take him out with another purple Wyrd sewer piece to remind him of IP6 Rd1 were we first met. (props to IP and Wyrd for the introduction) Hope you like it! Lemme know! -Pete Quote
Jabberwocky Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Fantastic! I really like how you incorporated the base and the mini together--it looks like they were designed that way. Great job utilizing the purple to tie the two parts together as well. Quote
WEiRD sKeTCH Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Very nice! I want the Sorrows to show up at my store now! Quote
Nathan Caroland Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Very nice, fun way to incorporate that into the base. Quote
DeafNala Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 VERY COOL! Beyond being a REALLY finely painted & based piece, it has a cinematic quality to it that sets the narrative wheels whirring away in my mind. Tying the Sorrow's coloration to the Toxic Wastes flowing through the sewer WAS a brilliant little touch. WELL DONE, Amigo! :coolpics: Quote
demonherald Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 loving it .. great base to use as well .. great colours and just all round good stuff. Quote
Illustrange Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 lovely I wish I was a bit better at the whole assembly thing so I could actually use the bases >_< and the sorrows, clear musthaves Quote
redstripe Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 I was just writing about the "Legion of Sorrows" this weekend, too. I wish I would have seen this first for some inspiration. This is a really fantastic piece! Well done! Quote

Peterdita Posted June 9, 2009 Author Report Posted June 9, 2009 Wow, thanks folks!!! I must be doing something right if it was mistaken for one of Rob's jobs and got props from the sculptor! I'll keep doing my best with these awesome minis... See ya soon! -Pete Quote
wyrdmothershutyourmouth Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I really like this painted piece! Took a whole new twist on it for me. One of the reasons I love to see eveyones paints. You did great. Quote
ScottRadom Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Y'know I like it. Said my piece on WAMP, just thought I'd give you the dub's grat's on here as well. You complete me, homeboy! Quote

Peterdita Posted August 9, 2009 Author Report Posted August 9, 2009 Updates! I finished off the three pack. These two didn't turn out as great as the first one for some reason, maybe I was bored with it by then idk. Here they are, steaming up from the sewers of Malifaux. Quote
Breten Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 I'm a bit behind, but these look fantastic. Great idea. Quote
