Malebolgia Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Hey, It's been almost a year since I've been here and of course I painted in the time. So here is the stuff I painted: Cryx Cephalyx Overlords Terrific sculpts and a real blast to paint. I love these trio-units in the WARMACHINE game as they allow you to paint a unit rather quickly. I also had quite some fun with the bases. The water is 2-epoxy glue mixed with green ink. Heresy Necromancer Terrific sculpt by Paul Muller that I painted quickly for Andy. I think I spent 2 afternoons on him and I really like the result. The Major Although this is Bruce Willis from "5th Element" but I wanted to paint him as a veteran soldier. Therefore I added the camo-pants and the badass shirt. I'm not superhappy with the face, but the tattoo was cool to do and I like the result. Infinity - Yu Jing soldiers Awesome miniatures and a blast to paint. I painted these rather quickly as I needed to finish them for a demo but I am happy with the end result. The bases are by Fenris Games. Pulp Cultists These were done really fast (in one afternoon) by spraying the miniatures reddish brown, dipping them and then highlighting them and adding the details. I'm happy with the result for the time invested. Black Voodoo Raiders Me and my mates are playing a hybrid game that consists of both Necromunda and Gorka Morka to give a game that feels and plays like Mad Max. My gang (The Black Voodoo Raiders) consists of black gangers with painted skulls on their faces. The first vehicle was a simple toy that I converted with loads of parts and plasticard. The second vehicle is an old Grenadier buggy. I added bits and a spare ganger as the gunner. The *awesome* sculpt of the leader is by Mad Puppet miniatures and he also is on a Fenris Games base. Victor Cat Helsing My best painted miniature so far. I painted this fantastic sculpt for Crisis (a con in Belgium). It was awesome to do my very best on a miniature again (I paint most miniatures for gaming and thus mostly go for speed). He was a blast to paint and it all went as I wanted. I was very proud he won Gold in the painting contest. That really made my day. Thanks for looking! Quote
Hinton Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Hey, Mal! Nice to see you on the boards again! Some pretty good work there. I really like how The Major looks and Cat Helsing is outstanding. Congrats on the gold for it. Quote
supervike Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 My goodness, you have been busy! Love those Voodoo raiders! The black skin really came out well. Actually, there isn't anything on this that I don't really like. Even with the alternative paint colors, the MAJOR looks more like Bruce Willis in your pics. I've gotta get that mini. Quote
Peterdita Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 These look great! What a year for you. Grats on the gold. Those raiders and that game your playing sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing. Quote
Jabberwocky Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Congrats on the gold--well deserved, no doubt! The Black Voodoo raiders are a great concept. I love the modeling of the guy standing on the car...I can just see him pulling up next to another vehicle to jump aboard. Quote
DeafNala Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 They ARE all Ubercool minis & beautifully painted up on great bases. Victor Cat Helsing IS my personal favorite. EXCELLENT WORK! :top: Got any more? Quote
