Interesting base treatment Bex. Why didn't you paint the ballast? I always find it jarring when people don't apply paint to the ballast on their bases. The scale of the coloring always looks off.

The figure itself looks great though.

It was based to match the rest of his Anima Figures. I had initially planned on something much fancier, but when I ran it past him, he specifically asked for plain sandbox sand on the bases, with the edges painted white, gray, or black depending on the alignment of the figure.

Thanks! The purple was a nice warm-up for IP. Sort of a happy coincidence, since I'd done most of the purple bits before the theme was announced.

The white base is unuasual but that's a good idea. Nice painted miniature Bex...and a purple one

If by "unusual" you mean "kind of ugly" then I agree. But it does allow him and his opponents to determine alignment without having to look it up on the reference cards, and he doesn't care all that much what the bases look like.

No just different, I meant that they are usually painted in black but white is a good idea for the alignment.

Nice job... commissions can be so frustrating some times.... I've had a few that want a similar thing with bases and it feels likea crime whenever I do it...
