Muskie Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 I'm in a hurry right now, but I like some of these figs very much and I was surprised to see discussions on painting well all sorts of things. I plan on painting more variety of stuff, rather than just GW for instance. I'm going to stick with 28mm scale for the most part, but 25 and 32 will be mixed in. My one big questions is a lot of these figs seem to have fancy bases, are they sculpted to the bases in some case, or are the bases the metal inserts that are sold separately? I'm supposed to be studying... but in the new year especially I might put in more frequent appearances. I'm known for painting Nurgle figs or even just green and purple figs... Quote
EricJ Posted November 30, 2008 Report Posted November 30, 2008 hi and welcome! To answer you question, many of the bases are custom made by our painters, however, we do have a line of bases which are available in the webstore, just go take a look! Quote

Muskie Posted December 1, 2008 Author Report Posted December 1, 2008 I'll have to get one or two of these models in the New Year. I'm interested in Wild West figs suddenly and the female gunslinger seems to be the one to go with. I'll probably buy the grave inserts, but I might just go with the other style bases or make my own. I've been buying up all sorts of stuff for the new year... Quote
DeafNala Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 (edited) I agree that it IS an excellent idea to have a backlog of minis to paint & extra bits for conversions/modifications. Those minis that you ABSOLUTELY MUST have/paint DO have a tendency the disappear into some Netherworld NEVER to be seen again. Of course, with moi, it's more of an obsession that has led to my Vault of PackRattiness. :squint: Edited December 2, 2008 by DeafNala Quote

Peterdita Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Ha! Perdita sucked me into Wyrd as well. She is as awesome as she looks. I think you will be pleased with the Wyrd minis. The sculpts are great and the casts are neat. The people round here are very nice as well. Enjoy your visits and post some pics in the showcase when you finish! Happy Holidays! Quote
