Hi Guys and Gals and those who haven't made their mind up yet......

so issue two of chronicles is up there for download now, and again I have been doing hobby articles .. Articles for the third and possibly even further down the line are in progress from me and the rest of the guys and hopefully we will continue to open explore and answer as many of your hobby related questions as possible....

Now there are a million and one thigs to learn from the beginning to the expert and hopefully between us we can help you guys out ..and some f you could help us out..

so fire away with your questions ... and feed us the fuel we need to keep moving the chronicles onwards and upwards by filling it with the information you need..

Give us any feedback on the current 2 volumes hobby content

let us know what you would like to see more of .

tell us what you don't like

The aim here isn't to create a be all and end all answer thread but more spark up the ideas that get our creativee brains creaking as we look into ways of presenting you with all the info you need. Also by Hobby I am talking painting , modelling , terrain etc nothing game or rule related that is in another thread.

look forward to hearing your thoughts...

Keep the brushes wet and have fun.

Rob.........

Are you looking for Malifaux related questions or general hobby questions?

Also, not a question but something I would like to see more of: step by steps on some of the minis and such that are being done as "studio" paintjobs for Wyrd.

The e-zine is Wyrd Product only so Any specifics should be Wyrd related but Using greenstuff is using greenstuff whatever range of minis your using.....same with painting techniques..

regards the step by steps of studio jobs that will happen there are some pieces in progress and the Golem article in volume 1 is an example .so expect more of that.

Let me start by saying I think the E-zines are fabulous. I think they are well balanced, well written, visually awesome, and just plain entertaining. Kudos to you for coming up with such a fun, informative and inspirational marketing item.

As far as the hobby write ups...

I've found the write-ups to very helpful and interesting so far. It is helpful when colors of paint/products are included and steps are broken down. While I see a lot of advanced/skilled work on this site, some of us are still beginners (in one area or another) and benefit greatly from step by step "beginners" tutorial. As a beginning to intermediate hobbier, I've never made a frozen water base before. After the Golem article, I would feel comfortable having a go at something like that now.

The second E-zine was packed full of great reference material. Colors of paint were listed, steps and techniques were explained, GREAT tutorials in there, Thank you! I like the way you started at square one and took nothing for granted. What may be routine or obvious for advanced hobbiers could be completely overlooked by the less experienced. Also, sharing year’s worth of experience can promote good habits and spare us many of those lessons learned "the hard way."

In conclusion, I like the diversity of the write-ups, i.e. sculpting, painting, basing, etc. I also like the step-by-step thoroughness of them, including colors of paint used and techniques for painting. Personal comments and thoughts also help add some personality and break up the dryness of the article. I think the E-zine hobby write-ups are great reference tools to all level of hobbiers and contribute to Wyrd's mission of promoting the hobby.

For the future, I would like to see more of it. I think you guys doing a great job, keep it coming. Also, with the utmost respect to you Rob, maybe some diversified authors. As previously mentioned, I loved your write ups, but Its always nice to see different approaches to things. Maybe even something written by your "average" hobbier??? I'd also like to see Moavoamoatu share with us how he created such a stunning table setup for Malifaux. (might also help him avoid the "how'd you do that" PM's ;) )

Great job! I can't wait for V.3+

Cheers Peterdita...... good points all round..

hopefully The next issue will have different peoples write ups.. I for one can't wait for Anders to do a write up and I agree as much variety as possible is key.. I think really it's all been down to timing for both issues.. each of us do these articles in spare time and some (i.e me...;)) have had more time than others.. Anders I know has had a good portion of his time this year devoted to his work at world expo with great success as well.. The next issue is falling right into the middle of my GDUK schedule ...

As for average Joe's writing something , we're all average Joe's really.. I for one would love to see some articles from the regular users .. any information is useful to somebody and I for one always love to see peoples techniques.... If anyone is a bit unsure on writing an article or how to go about it I can be reached via the PM system or email anytime and would be happy to chat through it and maybe help get you on the route to making an article...

I believe Moa is already looking at an article on scenery or may have been bludgeoned by Nathan... again that will be awesome...

Me well I'm gonna try and work on my piccies for future ones.. there are currently a few issues with that including a very poor internet connection my end making sending the pics a bit of a prob but also the fact that I am just crap at photography..:D

but onwards and upwards and glad they've been of use so far.. I am particularly pleased that you sense where we are covering the bases and trying to make the articles as understandable as possible that is always at the front of my mind.We have a read through behind the scenes and there is a broad spectrum of abilities back there and that generally means anything not 100% clear is picked up on by somebody.. The other problem I always have is trying to not rely on things I pick up in local stores etc that just may not be available to people overseas.

Hopefully we can continue to be of service and move the chronicles onwards and upwards covering more areas in detail for all levels as we go...
