Moavoamoatu
I spent a lot of time taking photos and now I can't upload them in the Dirty Laundry gallery. My photo was 1.7 Mo and now it is less than 800 Ko and I still can't upload it : I get this message error : Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3200 bytes) in /home/wyrd/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 135 If I can't post it in the gallery I will post it on the forum....I am really upset so please try to fix this f..... mess !!!! Nathan Caroland
800kb is too large, thus the site is rejecting it. We've got it stated that it'll take 350k though I have boosted it to 500kb in some areas. Anything more and that's just too damn huge as frankly there is no reason to put up a near 1meg image. Sorry Eric, but no mess here to fix.
Ritual
I posted in the other thread, but I repeat what I said there here as well. Do you really need the photos to be that large? I use the Save For Web function in PS and rarely need more than 200 kb, even for multi-angle photo montages, and still get good quality pictures. Moavoamoatu
Thanks guys but my previous IP entries were between 700 ko and 800 ko and I got no problem at all to upload them. As my photos are crappy, I will lose a lot on compression....at least I will be freed definitely from IP
Ritual
Have you tried using the Save For Web function? It is really, really good. You need to compress it a LOT before you see any substantial quality loss.
Moavoamoatu
I compressed it up to 255 ko and I still get an error message : Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3200 bytes) in /home/wyrd/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line

Moavoamoatu
I'll take a look into it tonight. No, it was my fault, I didn't notice my photo was 1024 wide instead of 800. You can delete this thread if you want Nathan. Just take time to answer my last PMs ,) I lost a lot of time because of my own mistake but now I cooled down. Brushmistress
It's funny Moa, that I had the same thing happen to me with an auction listing service once. I was so peeved at the website until I realized all my pics were over 150kb, which was the limit.

Nathan Caroland
Soon as I get a moment I'm going to go in there and edit the gallery to make things a bit more obvious with some of the rules for uploading as well as WHERE to upload. My biggest peeve with this software.
