EricJ
first post in the new forum! Thanks Nathan for getting this set up, the perfect place to give out misinformation (most of it made up on the spot) on the upcoming game. supervike
Is it true the game is a 3-d first person shooter only designed for the Nintendo Wii?
Duende
I heard it will be on Blu-ray.

Nathan Caroland
Just to be clear for most folks, we aren't going to be giving out much of any information for a few months yet as frankly, its too early to do so and is either being written, re-written, or yet to be written and like most everything I do, keep it fairly close to the vest until I feel it is time for it to come public with something. That being said, there will be 'some' things that we'll let loose, or ya'll can throw out ideas and the like as there is always a chance something discussed will spark an idea or interest on our end. Overall though, this section shouldn't see much movement until we go into public beta. I will post short snippets of stories and character descriptions though from time to time .. tallghost
Ah-HA!! The mechanic off the game is that you actually hae to roll dice and move minis in order to actually write the rules of the game. The first person to sucsessfully complete a campagin (finish a whole rule book) will send their results to Nathan and Eric, who will then coat the winner in molten lead and dump their body in a nearby but seculded swamp. All expansion rules will depend on the storage space of the swamp and fluctuations in the lead market.
Larkin Vain
Awe I was hoping was going to be rock paper scissors with minis.
Xenon_Wulf
You're all wrong. The game will be on pork rinds and fried wheels of brie, and will involve using coasters. Wyrd, the ultimate pub-game making company!
EricJ
yep, your fried brie was a major inspiration for us, we've decided to create a whole new brie-based faction...based on the (mis-informed) concept that brie is a stinky-cheese
Duende
... brie is a sinky-cheese A sinky-cheese?? So, it doesn't float on water and therefore is NOT a duck and therefore.......
EricJ
I don't know what you mean...editing my comment then making remarks on it? I clearly said stinky-cheese
Duende
*smacks Eric upside the head* .....therefore is a witch! Burn the brie!! :flaminghe (Monty Python reference, Eric!)
tallghost
burnt fried brie? now that does sound stinky...
Xenon_Wulf
Can't be half as bad as Munster cheese, no matter what...
supervike
did someone mention pork rinds?
AoM
This has become a game within itself.
Duende
The game will be on pork rinds and fried wheels of brie, and will involve using coasters. So if there's rinds, brie, and coasters, what's the Wyrd designated drink?
EricJ
oh, definitely NOT that pink girl-cocktail from that first night, I think it permanently hurt my ability to taste sweet again
Hinton
Maybe it should be that Black Velvet you all were drinking. Or perhaps those shots that were going around. Personally, my preferred drink is Rum & Coke or White Russian, but I'm open to trying to new drinks from time to time.
green stuff
what's the Wyrd designated drink? With all the french in the team and the atmosphere of the game, I'd say "Vipérine". I'll let you look that one up .
goblyn13
I would have figured Absinthe...
goblyn13
With all the french in the team and the atmosphere of the game, I'd say "Vipérine". I'll let you look that one up . Now what person in their right mind EVER came up with the idea of putting a live Viper in a bottle of liquor and drowning it in there? but then again, i guess the same goes for the worm in Tequila
Wren
I vote for absinthe too - it's liquor but a little bit twisted, it's exotic, and it's green like the Wyrd logo.
Xenon_Wulf
Could also be de la Chartreuse Verte - that'd work too, you know... But both that and Absinthe are acquired tastes. Absinthe has that licorice-y taste to it (not to mention that it hits like a friggin' concrete wall (no not brick - concrete, and don't ask how I know *says he while hiding his bottle of the stuff*)), as for Chartreuse, it's rather hard on the throat as it goes down (much easier when you use it in a mixed drink, of course, but where's the fun of that?). So yeah, Black Velvet it is...
