cdukino
Bit to over the top IMHO, especially on the skull/skelleton stuff... especially the silly skull in front of him. Lotr: OKE... scared to think what they will ask for a bit of gravel and stuff:
Skya
The number of skulls I've clipped off of GW pieces in my painting career could probably melt down to make a balrog all on thier own.
james sequeira
the mordor troll looks like an ugly baby lol the ents look too much like WFB treemen. im not keen on the empire at the moment they seen to be going for big everything from the sketches and the minis showed so far
LeadAsbestos
I think the LOTR stuff is really beating a dead horse. Do they have the rights to do other non-movie Tolkien stuff, ala the Easterlings/Khand guys? The line is good, but something new seems like a better idea than a 45th sculpt of Aragorn pointing at something...
Jabberwocky
I like the Isengard troll, but I like trolls in general. The photo of Kurt Helborg looks funny to me--what is behind him in the saddle? I can imagine him as some sort of fantasy Santa Claus charging his way into the next village with his pack of goodies on the back of the horse... Sergeant_Crunch
The number of skulls I've clipped off of GW pieces in my painting career could probably melt down to make a balrog all on thier own. LOL, that's a good part of the reason I haven't bought a GW piece in almost two years now. (Hello, my name is Sergeant_Crunch, I've been clean and GW free for 20 months.) Anyway, the Ents are the only ones I find interesting, though I'd have to add more foilage to them to suit me. What I really want to know is why "heroes" need a special basing kit? I love GW's "Hey, if we call it this, they'll think they can only use it for that and they'll buy another item that's almost exactly the same" marketing scam. jester of death
the basing packs will most likely be the same price as the cities of death ones which were AU$50 i think. not a fan of the lotr mini's i think they are too small. jod
DrEvilmonki
I have the Isengard troll. I am painting it up for GD OZ (which is 5 days away). It's a nice enough beast, plenty of solidity to it. Comes in handy as a weapon if anyone tries to break into my house!

DrEvilmonki
I've gone for the sword and helmet (though I did cut that stupid fan piece off the helm). Finished the armour and belly skin. Just started the main skin last night and realised it is going to take hours and hours (and hours)

Malebolgia
Hey guys, More previews of goofball over-the-top weirdness: It can hardly be more sillier than this IMO... And a green of a spearmen (that probably can be assembled as a swordsman or halberdier) by Felix Paniagua
cdukino
what's that griffon doing in front of him? (the standard bearer)... looks like he thinks the same and is about to whack is senceless with that club of his.
JonasD
The Green os the Spearman is never going to be produced, Felix only did it as a training piece. The other minis- well, they are niceyl sculpted, but I wouldn't want being given them for christmas.
