guru
Hi, I'm Guillaume, a 20-years old Game Store salesman (Miniatures and Tabletop) in Montreal (Canada). I Apologize for my english as I'm Francophone and a little rusty with the written english. As a gamer, I tried a lot of games (for my age) and played many big names, I won't write about them there as the only important thing to remember is: I'm Starting Wyrd! Bought two starters, a rulebook+sets of cards and am eager to try out the game. In the near future (in a matter of weeks) I will run a Wyrd League in the store, I'll create a topic accordingly with pictures and stories. I'm sure the Wyrd forums will prove to be of great help and inspiration as much as the book was fantastic. (great job on it by the way, of all the game books I red, this is by far one of the best) And well, if you ever happen to visit the game store I'm working for, I'll be happy to have my crew wreck yours for the soulstone market control! The Snowman
Matt here from Australia! I did notice that there were already a few people here from this part of the world. Just picked up the rulebook and some cards and will have a thorough read before buying a couple of starters. Though (I must say I like the look of the Arcanists and Neverborn. Not to mention eye-popping miniatures and accessories! Wish list: RPG for Malifaux setting narrative campaigns with experience make-your-own Master rules team advancement (like Necromunda/Mordheim) No Plastics! Ever! copydawg
Hi guys, the nick's copydawg coz copycat is a bad cat. It's always better to be a hot dawg rather than a cool cat. The name's marvel. I'm from Indonesia, got dragged into this game (willingly) by my friend ivan the unsatiable (xankriegor in this forum). I'm a copywriter, working for a local advertising agency. Creativity has always been the most important thing in my life and it holds especially true for my line of work. It's also the thing that triggers the chemistry between me & Malifaux, especially the Ressers. Zombie whores with their bald zombie mistress, katana-wielding-nitouryuu punk zombies, zombie pups, everything is just beautiful... in a twisted way. The gameplay itself is intriguingly innovative. I love the way the schemes, soul stone system and the different abilities work. I already got a seamus box, along with the grave spirit, convict gunslinger & punk zombies. Currently waiting for mcmourning and his pups. Can't wait to let 'em rip in my LGS and can't wait for the crooked man. Keep up the great job guys and see ya around in the forums. Trash
Hey, My name is Chad, but all my friends call me Trash(High school nicknames stick around FOREVER). I've been playing minitaure games off and on since I was 18(I'm 35 now). I simply adore this genre of game, and the setting for Malifaux is a splendid mix of all my favorite setting flavors. I live in Nashville, but frequently travel to Cookeville, TN to my hometown game store quite frequently. Thanks for making such a awesome game! -C

Spoon
Why Hello there everyone! I am Spoon. My real name is Michael. I am an ex-information specialist for the Dahlonega Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau. I started my gaming ten years ago with Magic the Gathering (of which I am a tournament organizer for now) and Warhammer 40000. I started playing Malifaux about three weeks ago and this game is amazing. I had been in a stint of Warmachine, but the feel and play style of Malifaux is simply stunning. Hats off to the designers of the game! Anyway, I am here to learn and Nicodem and I shall be honing our game together hopefully into a force to be reckoned with. So, I guess anyone shoot me a message anytime to chat, and if there are any Malifaux gamers in Dahlonega look me up! Thanks again!
Ciaran
Heya all, new guy here! Isn't that the point of the thread though? I'm a corporate America refugee turned soon to be art student. I've been gaming on and off since I was seven (about twenty six years so far) and am blown away by the quality of work on this brand! Well... that's about it for now... The_bruce
Morning all! I introduced myself (at some length!) in a new thread, but wanted to say a quick 'Hi!' in here too! I am sorry but I massively overuse exclamation marks in posts, but I'm genrally insanely happy in person so I guess it fits! Great to be a part (even if a massively newbyerish part) of the Malifaux community! If anyone knows anyone in Stoke on Trent playing, let me know! Ta! Mattimao
Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Matt,or as I am known in the gaming world... Mattimao. I have been a gamer for many years and am looking forward to becoming part of the Malifaux community. My gaming past goes back to the second edition of Battletech and the West End Games Star Wars Skirmish game. Years past... I discover CCGs. Toy around with them for a while...I miss miniature gaming... Mage Knight arrives... Mechwarrior... LOTR... Then Wizkids falls. No more pirates sailing the tabletop or Dragons fighting Goblins. No more thundering explosions as Mechs collide. All is quiet. Played some more CCGs.- But I still missed my miniature games. Then along game a little game called Clout Fantasy. WOW! You talk about a fun game! I played until the game could no longer survive. ( Blasted economy ) If you have not ever played Clout you must try it. BUT- I still missed my miniature games. The whole time I was gaming I was also painting. You see I started painting before Mechs even walked into the corner book store. I would get 1\72 scale military figs and paint up my own armies. Because of my painting I also kept up with the new on line paint communities. I found WYRD and would visit just to read the forums and watch the contests. Then I read about the coming of a game by Wyrd. Sounds cool. Fast forward to today. Malifaux is here and I have Lady Justice and her crew almost completely done. My understanding of the rules is getting there. I have friends with their crews almost ready. Yeah, This is going to be fun.

I hope to start painting them all soon and am looking forward to the expansion with all this Avatar and Henchman stuff (I saw Avatar Pandora and now wanna see Avatar Ramos XD). Other games I play involve, 40k, D&D, Munchkin, and a various amounts of other board games.

Souleater
Hello, everybody! I've just ordered my first crew for what I hope to be a long and enjoyable foray into the world of Malifaux. I've been gaming for about 25 years now...AD&D, Shadowrun, Rifts. TT gaming I'm afraid has mainly been GW stuff. However, I've recently gotten back into WM and am having a blast with that. I've admired the Wyrd miniatures since I first saw them a couple of years ago. While I had read good reviews of Malifaux but knew nobody interested in getting started. Anyway, one of the guys I play WM with mentioned Malifaux, saying it was probably the best game he's ever played....and he plays way too many games. I dithered a lot over which crew to play. I felt that Guild and Arcanist were out because the other guys had expressed an intrest in them and I wanted to make things as varied as possible. Did I go with my love of undead? The slightly more disturbing than other stuff in Malifaux of the Neverborn? In the end I went for Neverborn - I really enjoying painting and they offer some delicious miniatures. I thought I'd start at the shallow end of the pool and work my way up - hence, I've ordered Lily's crew. Also, I have a tendancy to pick glass cannons that take me an age to learn and Lily sounds a bit more 'Punchy Facey, Catchey Monkey' I'm planning on painting her and her charming offspring with red flesh and white hair. Huzzah!
