Waldo's Weekly - Walking in Two Worlds

Hey Wyrdos!

This week, Waldo finally woke up from his Turkey Day celebrations. Our imp gobbled up an entire feast by himself, and needed a few days to sleep it off. He’s been waddling around and sleepily grumbling, but we think he’s happy to see our familiar faces back in the office again!

Speaking of familiar faces…

Some of you sharp-eyed readers might recognize this figure; he’s popped up in some of our cabinets during conventions. Now, you can finally put a name to that dashingly handsome face. This is Shinshō, one of the upcoming models for The Other Side.

While his motives on Earth aren’t quite clear, this kitsune is a trickster, shapeshifter, and manipulator without equal. After all, he serves both the Three Kingdoms AND Kimon Allegiances as a Commander!

On the table, Shinshō starts with some valuable Inspired Tokens, and can hold his own in combat. His real strength lies in the Kitsunetsuki Morale Action. By forcing an enemy Squad Fireteam into taking an Action, Shinshō can turn an enemy’s strength against themselves.

When in Glory, the kitsune becomes even more mischievous. He can expend Inspired Tokens to add any suit to a final duel total, draining away enemy Tactics Tokens and moving Fireteams all the while.

That’s all for this week, Wyrdos. Are you excited to bring Shinshō’s machinations against your opponents?

Oh, and if you’re heading to PAX Unplugged this weekend, be sure to swing by the Wyrd Booth (#3231) in the Expo Hall and say hi!

What a foxy dude! Great looking artwork. Hope the tassels are doable in resin.

Rules wise:

What does accurate do on the sword and why would you want to lose it with the trigger?

Accurate makes it so you cannot kill more than one model with your attack but can pick which model you kill and prevents the use of the champion rule to redirect damage to nearby friendlies. So with accurate the attack is well suited for character killing or adjunct sniping but absolutely dreadful at cutting down units of chaff. If he loses accurate though he can then have single hits cut down multiple enemy models, potentially even killing whole fireteams.

I'm curious about that allegiance. I was under the impression that Kimon would be a Malifaux allegiance and Kingdoms an Earth allegiance. I suppose being both doesn't break any rules.
