Gearome
Hey all, super noob question here. Can I declare triggers for the actions resulting from Sonnia Unmasked’s enraged by the mage ability if the push is coming from a trigger? My reading is yes since the action is generated by an ability and not the trigger itself but I’ve heard varying takes. TIA.
admiralvorkraft
I would let you do it for sure. I don't think it has come up for me somehow!
Antipodean
Front of card abilities are not triggers and not subject to the trigger restriction on page 12 of the rulebook. So yes, enraged by the mage melee action does allow triggers.
theamazingmrg
For clarity, Drawn To Pain is still a Trigger, so the restriction would apply if it caused an attack. But it doesn't so its just pedantry on my part! The attack is coming from Enraged By The Mage, *not* Drawn To Pain. Enraged By The Mage isn't a Trigger (even if the Push that causes it to happen came from one) so yes, that attack can still declare Triggers. For even more fun horrible-ness, take a Guild Lawyer and use that to Obey a Witchling (ideally a Thrall) to Charge and it will get two free attacks that can both declare Triggers (one for the Charge itself, and one for Enraged By The Mage).
Yore Huckleberry
Want some extra fun with your Thralls? Bring Alison Dade and a Guild Mage, and every time they get hit you can trigger "Drawn to Pain," then discard a card for "I knew you were gonna do that!" to immediately heal the Thrall.
