Trials of Time - the next event in the MWS includes chess clocks!

Recommended Posts

On behalf of the esteemed @Alcathous, I'm announcing the next event of the Malifaux World Series!

Trials of Time will include an unusual feature - the use of chess clocks. A core element of competitive play is being able to finish games in a timely fashion, so this will be a chance for players to check if they truly do play fast enough.

To register for Trials of Time click here. Registration deadline is 9 July.

The hotkey for the chess clock is ~, and it is recommended that players spend a few games practicing with the clocks before the event starts. Personally I've used the clock in 2 or 3 games at this point and am starting to find it very smooth to use.

The pools have another twist - they are from the All packet! You can see the tournament packet here:

As always, anything we feel is clearly supported by the core rules or Wyrd's official FAQ isn't included in our document.
