Rules question: Does it matter if the Same action comes from a different source? 

Example: Zoraida obeys model A, then obeys model B to perform Obey on Model A again. Is this allowed?

Yes. Every "once per" is per model on the card the text is written. So Zoraida can only target any individual model once per activation with Obey, but that doesn't restrict other models with Obey from targeting that model in that activation, and so you can chain through other models.

Is a chain-Obey actually possible? It does state that the action itself can only target a model once per activation. I think the whole "Zoraida casts Obey on A - A does stuff" is happening in Zoraida's activation (this is a "false activation" as I get, as If this model did not Activate this turn abilities still apply to the model even after an Obey, if they didn't activate, that is).

I have only been "obeyed" so far and the Zoraida player didn't try to use a chain-obey.
