Hi,

can the bandersnatch attack the model with the Shadow Lair upgrad?

Is there any reason to think you can't?

You are not allowed to target yourself with an attack, but you are allowed to attack the model that you have drawn range and line of sight from ( see also nexus, and to a lesser extent Zoraida and Rasputina. ).

For what it’s worth, Warmachine/Hordes has a similar rule which instead says that an attack can’t target its origin (written that way because abilities allowing drawing range and line of sight are common enough to have a few game terms associated with what you’re drawing line of sight and range from).  (So a spellcaster can channel a spell and attack itself, but can’t do the same directly.)

Malifaux didn’t make that choice, and I could see the difference causing confusion.
