Scout Ahead timing

Was trying to check if Scout Ahead resolves before the attacker splits their crew or not.  Under the step for deployment it says “The Attacker chooses a Deployment Zone and divides their Crew into two groups.” So the question is does the attacker choose a deployment zone and split their crew before scout ahead or does the attacker choose a deployment zone, scout ahead, then divide their crew

Choose a deployment zone, resolve effects that say “after choosing deployment zone”, then split crews, and so forth.

Edit:  That “and” between ‘choose a deployment zone’ and ‘split the crew in half’ is separating two different events, not combining them into one event.
