Fuhastsu Rapid Fire Ability

Hello Malifaux community,

I wanted to check on a rule that came up when a friend and I were playing a round with Fuhastu. He has the ability after making a gun action you may discard a card and take this action again. The question is

 

Can that second action declare triggers? 

 

We were not sure but we decided to play it with it does declare triggers for that game. I know that actions created by triggers cannot declare triggers for obvious reasons (onslaught).

Yes the rapid fire shot can declare triggers. As you say it's only actions generated by triggers that can't.
