Are Severe auras counted as terrain? (Specific Grave Goo and Moorwraiths example inside)

Quick question regarding Moorwraiths and Grave Goo “severe auras vs severe terrain” 

Moorwraiths state that the area 2” around them is treated as severe by other models - 

does this count as severe terrain? For abilities such as the Grave Goo’s “trail of slime” ability that states terrain it is in base contact with is treated as hazardous damage 1 poison 1. 

So would this mean if the Grave Goo is within the 2” of the Moorwraith than the entire area 2” around it is treated as damage +1 poison +1? 

I know severe is a terrain trait but I guess the questions is - does an aura that states “other models treat 2” aura around this model as severe” count as terrain or does it need to state “severe terrain”

Severe is only defined as a trait of terrain. If it is not terrain it doesn't do anything.
