mattc
Hey Wyrdos, This week, Waldo decided it was time to get into shape for the upcoming beach season in the fiery pit he calls home. Unfortunately, his version of training consists primarily of listening to “Eye of the Tiger” on repeat while lounging on the office couch. So while we try to convince Waldo that montages are only in videos and not real life, let’s take a moment to discuss some of our plans for Gen Con 2021 coming up in a few months. After such a long time stuck in our homes and waiting for a return to normalcy, Wyrd is excited to start planning for our presence at this year’s Gen Con. We are going to be there showing off new content for Malifaux and The Other Side; as well as showcasing our new and upcoming tabletop games including Bayou Bash! We’ll even be offering some free goodies to players taking part in any of our events. For those of you that can’t make it to the show this year, we will also have various virtual events to showcase our Gen Con content as well as participating in Pop-Up Gen Con at your local game store. However, as this year’s Gen Con is following a rough year for everyone including the tabletop games industry, Wyrd’s presence at these events will be a bit different from years past, making changes primarily aimed at the health, safety, and comfort of our community and staff. As such, for this year’s Gen Con we will be requiring masks for all staff and volunteers, sanitizing components for every demo and event in-between every playthrough, and limiting our event attendees to promote healthy distance between players and a safe and fun experience. With these precautions in mind, we are still in the planning portion of our event listings and are looking for our community’s help to estimate how many attendees are looking to join in our amazing events so that we can properly plan the event space with the health, safety, and comfort of our players and staff in mind. If you are planning or interested in attending this year’s Gen Con Event, from Sept 16th – 19th, please take the time to answer the following questions for us: In addition to Gen Con, Wyrd will also be at Origins later in the year (September 30th – October 3rd). If you are interested in volunteering with us for either event, please let us know here and if you want to help with our board game events but haven't played them yet? We can get you the rules beforehand! Next week, we’ll be making our super-secret board game not so super-secret, so make sure to tune in. In the meantime, if you haven’t yet seen it from us, we are currently running a giveaway in support of all the amazing Wyrd community content creators out there, so be sure to check out all the fantastic creators listed below for your chance to win one of three Malifaux Core Boxes. Cats Laughing
If you are only planning to attend virtually how should you answer the remaining questions? Just leave blank or answer as if your FLGS will host something?
marius
As someone outside the US who is unlikely to be able to travel to these cons, really appreciate the virtual events. It is a great initiative for Wyrd to provide something for those members of the community, and the effort to do so is very much appreciated.
Da Git
Hoping you guys do something like last year with Third Floor Wars. Those videos were amazing for those of us stuck on the other side of the breach/planet!

Sweet Tooth
I’m looking forward to visiting GenCon in person this year and maybe even volunteering again with Wyrd! I’m secretly hoping for Wyrd face masks to be available so we can rep Waldo in more ways.
muraki
Just now, Sweet Tooth said: I’m looking forward to visiting GenCon in person this year and maybe even volunteering again with Wyrd! I’m secretly hoping for Wyrd face masks to be available so we can rep Waldo in more ways. I'd buy one, specially if they come in a set with those sweet hoodies that are never on the webstore
