KOX
I got short wuestion about markers. When card say something like: place marker within 6" 1. Marker must be wholly within 6" 2. Only fragment need to be within 6" 3. Middle point of the marker must be within 6" 4. Marker can be placel like base to base contact with the 6" circle
1 Maniacal_cackle
2 and 4 are correct. 1 is wrong because it would say completely within if it meant completely within. As long as any piece of the marker is within 6", it is fine. The base to base contact of the two circles counts.
0 solkan
Just remember that when the rules use the words “drop” (if the marker is impassible) or “create”, additional restrictions on placement apply concerning what the marker can overlap or touch. So “drop ________ within 6”” and “create _________” within 6”” isn’t quite the same as “place marker within 6””. Otherwise “within six inches” includes having the edges of the two things exactly six inches apart. A “fragment” isn’t necessary. In the rules, it says “An object is within range if any portion of that object’s base is at that distance or closer. Any effect that references an object being “within” a distance is talking about range.” is satisfied by a point on the base, you don’t have to fret about fractions of the bases or go around thinking “within 6” means it’s fractionally less than 6” away.
