Fzzzzap! question (Wong, Wizz-Bang)

Inzeen

Question

Hey all,

Two newbies here. Were playing Jakob Lynch against Wong tonight. Ran into some questions with Fzzzzap!.

It drops the 2 shockwave markers next to my Hungering Darkness, who has 2 Glowy tokens. Fzzzzap! says to discard the tokens to give the damage +2.
Is the shockwave damage increased from 2 to 4? And if so, does that mean both markers now do 4 damage instead of 2? for 8 total?
Is the damage added up? Like, two shockwaves both do 2 damage, for 4 total, and +2 is 6 damage?
Where does the +2 damage from the Glowy tokens go and how many times does the attack do damage? The 3e rulebook says that if you get affected by multiple shockwaves, resolve it only once. Does that mean that the damage is considered one source? Or is it two sources? This matters, for Hungering Darkness' Incorporeal :P

Quite the conundrum... Help would be really appreciated :)

You're only ever subject to 1 pulse effect from a single action no matter how many you cross (same goes for blasts) so you would hit huggy 1 time. And increase the damage from 2 to 4 for the hit on huggy.

Incorpeal would reduce it to 3 cause it's an attack action, but that's a separate thing ha.

What is the purpose of dropping 2 shockwaves? Can he place them apart? We assumed they had to be placed base-to-base as per blasts, but seeing this, a new question arives: Can Wong place his Zzzzap! markers on two wholly different places?

Thnx tho :)

Where does it say you only ever get affected by one? We cant find it in the rulebook :S

Oh on the rulebook in the app there's a section on page 31.

Shockwaves
Shockwaves Drop a 30mm Shockwave Marker on the
table within range and LoS. When the Shockwave
Action is fully resolved, the Marker is removed. Below
is an example Shockwave.
The Dropped Marker generates a p equal to the Shock-
wave’s value. This Lightning Strike Action generates
a p1 from the Dropped Shockwave Marker.
Any model that the Marker touches or that is affected by
the p must pass the simple duel noted in the Shockwave
or suffer its effects. Both the simple duel and the penalty
for failure are listed after the Shockwave value.
If a model would be affected by multiple Shockwave
Markers Dropped by the same Action, it only resolves
the effects of the Shockwave once.
Shockwaves are unaffected by Cover and Concealment

We found this a bit confusing. It can easily be explained as flip once for both effects... The wording is pretty ambiguous.
