Between top-level scheme runners (Necropunks, Ashes and Dust), heavy damage dealing (Leveticus and Rusty), and models that replace/deny Public Enemy points (Leveticus/Desolation Engine/Ashes and Dust), can you realistically take Amalgam into every Strategy? Cranky Old Man Posted August 31, 2020 Report Share Posted August 31, 2020 Yes you can. He has the tools within and out of keyword. Having said I would prefer other crews on some strats. Leylines is good to take ronin into from Viks keyword. 5 inches free movement is great. Versatile models can help with schemes, midnight stalker for breakthrough, Hans is good for vendetta. Honestly it is more dependant on the opposing crew. Anti demise can be rough on Levi and ashes but it’s not the worst. I only have three functioning outcasts crews and they are Levi and Viks plus daw but I use him only in ressers really. I don’t feel I need anything else. Viks or Parker might edge him out in a few pools, but it won't be significant. You didn't even mention scavengers which might be the best support model in the faction and the best leyline denier. I figured everyone knew about Scavengers lol. Does anyone have any suggested lists based on the 4 strats? Does Desolation Engine get played in Public Enemies? I played this list into leylines and it worked pretty well. It my first time using Levi and it was a casual game my opponent was using Nicodem in (who is probably broken being in Dead Man's Hand). I'm not sure I got value out of Pride either but I think it's one of those invisible things where it changed what my opponent's plans are without me knowing.. To be more precise, Levi can cover everything in my opinion, but people can prepare for him (For example anty-demise), so it;s nice to have other master. I'm hesitant to take him into some match-ups. 10T has the most anti-demise and some access to anti-healing (which is as good as anti-demise for Leveticus). I'm also hesitant to take him against Ressers. S4lt Posted September 1, 2020 Report Share Posted September 1, 2020 Thunders and Ressers can be tough match ups due to the anti demise models they can field. You just need to make him more survivable in those match ups and play him more cautiously. I would agree that Leviticus can do all the strategies, but what you need to learn is the different "anti-Levi" techs out there. (Although I do think its possible to solo any Master, but you may have more problematic games for some than others). I've not played enough Levi to know how much you need to List alter to counter those issues, and how much you can solve with play style alteration. Obviously, you want more of it to be play style alteration if you're travelling light, which should be possible, it just puts more learning burden on you. Take things that can: - Remove Condition - Johan and ??? - Easily destroy enemy Markers (Ice Pillars for example) - Mad Dog and ??? - Take care of Armor - Mad Dog and ???
