Anyone else a bit sad that McMourning can't take Necrotic Machine?

Recommended Posts

Anyone else sad that McMourning can't take Necrotic Machine (except if doing double masters and hiring Molly first).

It has one of the best poison based abilities in the faction (if not THE best), and yet it can't join the poison crew.

Thanks for coming to my pointless rant. I hope your gamer spirit aches as mine does over this tragedy.

I mean, yeah, but then again it'd be very strong in his crew.  So I'm kinda okay, for the game, that he really can't.

Off topic but in a similar spirit, I am sad that he can't hire Grimwell and the rest of the Asylum gang in 3E since he lost his Guild affiliation.  They should have given those guys Experimental as well.  Not even sure I would take them, but it doesn't really make sense that I can't.

Perhaps should have made McMourning Experimental/Asylum?

As for necrotic machine, I think I agree. The solution is probably just to remove Neurotoxins from the Machine xD. The model is already so insanely good.

Neurotoxins is really good, but I think the psychological impact is greater than its effect on the table.

I've tried to do a Marcus Neurotoxins list and it really wasn't worth it.  There wasn't enough value in the poison models to make the spread more effective than what I could have gotten otherwise.  Then again, I am pretty bad at this game.

I may be overhyped on it since I've only had one game since I started trying to abuse it and it was epic.

But it seems especially crazy on the Necrotic Machine:

  • Necrotic machine applies poison to a henchman
  • Uses accomplice to activate a beater.
  • Beater smashes henchman while its defenses are down, no chance to counter by moving out of range.

I did this to Mancha Roja and it exploded into a red mist xD
