Guild Hounds

Steg

Question

So the Guild Hounds, they're Mindless  which means "they're treated as activated when summoned this turn" and when they attach the On Patrol upgrade from being summoned by Dashel they gain slow.

Does that mean the slow ends as they are treated as activated?

No. Being treated as activated means you can't activate them that turn. Slow will go at the end of their activation, but they need to actually go through the "end activation" step to remove it.

Likewise if you manage to give slow to a model that had already activated that turn, the slow will remain on them until they end their activation next turn.

No, it doesn’t.

”treated as Activated” is relevant during the Activation phase when you’re going through and trying to select a model to activate.

It doesn’t mean that you’re supposed to resolve the End Activation step or the other Activation steps for the model.

Correct, the woes of summoning Guild Hounds is you can't use them on the turn you summon them and you only get 1 action on the next turn.

It's generally considered a waste of a summoning... unless just need a warm body for The Dispatcher's Protected Ability!
