Speedguyjp
Maniacal Cackle's other post got me thinking about this...and I posted this in a couple other faction forums too... With my state still under 'strict' quarantine orders for at least another several weeks I've been leaning towards more HH format games since the games take longer for me on Vassal. I was considering a couple different crews in HH. I'm still quite new and not familiar with all the rule differences, but like the idea that I could actually finish a game instead of fumbling through 2-3 turns of a 50ss vassal game before my wife yells at me not to wake the whole house up 🙂. Plus will give me a chance to get more models on the table and see them in action. Was looking at a couple different crews: Ancestor: Manos, Toshiro, Chiaki, Gokudo/Ashigaru Ancestor: Manos, Izamu, Komainu, Gokudo/Ashigaru Mortuary: Mortimer, Emissary, 2x Gravediggers or Gravedigger/Doxy/Restless Spirit Any suggestions/feedback? Adran
If you have the time/space at home, you might be best just trying out the crews one against another. I know when I'm trying things out I will control both sides to see how it goes. Its not as good as a game against a real opponent, but you can get a good idea of what models/crews are capable of. It'll take longer when you're both sides, but you ought to get a HH game played against yourself in under an hour. A brief glimpse of the crews you've posted here and the guild forum doesn't throw up any glaring errors. If you're using them as a way to learn the game and learn what models do, then they will certainly be fine.
Maniacal_cackle
Can't summon in HH, so Toshiro is significantly weaker Pre-nerf, my favourite HH crew was Philip + archie + 2 crooligans, so may still be worth a go! Vincent probably doesn't work... Sloth might be interesting!
