Growing in Guild

Hi everyone!  After some wavering on factions and Malifaux in general I finally decided to stick with the game and go back to my favorite faction.  I have the family and elite keywords but am hoping to expand but need some advice.  I know the Pale Rider nerfs weren’t super significant but is the rider still close to an auto include for elite or is there a better option?
 

 My other thought is to pick up guard now that the totem has significantly improved the overall synergy, but I guess I’ll have to wait for the entire keyword to release.

Its not auto-include to me anymore.  It is very good.  

The guard keyword is really really good.  I think as of the Easter Sale, it is completely released.

Not yet sadly, the mounted guard/dog box releases in June and was not in the sale.  There is still one box that has not been announced with what I’m assuming to be sergeants and patrol.

Ahh, can you get the 2e boxes from the website?  That's what I did for sanctioned spellcasters and dmr.

Fair point, though because there are only 2 sculpts for the guards I’ll probably wait and grab it all at once.  Plus I’d like to get a handle on Lucius first.
