Jesy Blue
There's barely any conversations going on, so I'm gonna start one. Resurrectionists, Bayou, & Outcast are the only factions with only 2 dual Masters (Jack Daw & Yan Lo / Zoraida & Captain Zipp / Captain Zipp & Jack Daw). There is also only 2 (known) dual Masters in the Explorer's Society: Cornileus Basse & Lucas McCabe. So, ignoring the known possible keywords, Apex & Umbra, what would make a good dual faction master that would come out of the Explorer's Society and go into either Resurrectionists, Bayou, or Outcast. Go into as much or as little detail as you wish. No triple, quadruple, quituple masters please... or whatever else is past quintuple. Maniacal_cackle
Umbra seems like the most likely crossover for ressers, but since that is off limits... A zombie explorer master. Very fancy pants dude. After he died in a freak dining accident, his closest staff were too embarrassed to tell anyone. So they resurrected him and dressed him up and hoped no one would notice. Totem: his handler. Can obey him for extra actions (up to two a turn). The master: automatically gains slow at the start of his activation. Anytime he eats someone's brain (kills someone) he regains his mental faculties. Every brain upgrade unlocks new abilities. Here's the rub: he can eat enemies or minions within his own keyword (as long as no one sees him eat his own keyword minions). So sometimes you just feed him a few innocent kitchen staff to get him going, as long as he can do it in private. Can't have the rest of the staff realising he is a zombie that might eat them.
thatlatinspeakingguy
Umbra's models are aesthetically similar to existing Ressurectionists models, but the concept behind them is that of darkness, not death. There was this idea rejected in XVIII or XIX century that darkness has it's own substance (as opposed to it being a result of the lack of light) - maybe it will be featured in Umbra's lore. So your zombie explorer is still a possibility
Jesy Blue
My concept would be someone that is an Explorer's Society member that is disgruntled at the leadership, presumably Cooper, and failed previously at an internal take over. Now the minority faction is on the outs within the Society, and are looking for external allies to help their cause, hence also Outcast. "Upstarts" keyword would be lead by The Widow Henderson, a beautiful but very young woman who's very old husband died in a terrible accident on their honeymoon (so sad). She lead the original failed play for power against the established leadership, but now she and her inner circle of followers and hangers-on are scheming a new plan. The theme of the crew would have is putting Poison on models that have no Poison on them, and preventing the last Poison token from being removed from enemy models in an aura. Totem would be another smitten old man looking to feel young again with the young widow, he has soul stone generating abilities that costs him his health. The Henchman would be a bodyguard with a short haircut named Ashely, she would do anything for her boss because they're the best of friends.... you know, gal pals. The rest of the crew would be a combination of young near destitute aristocrats taking chances and getting over their heads, and wives of established Society members looking for a change. They would have different abilities that could only affect models with Poison tokens: pushes, card discards, Soul Stones discards, penalties to actions, obeys. A control crew with no real direct combat abilities.
Regelridderen
A Bayou Explorer : The Oswalts are the globetrotters of the bayou, they made a fortune selling in-sewer-ance and ensuring that there’ll never be installed any kind of sewers in the bayou to ruin it with feces. Now they’re living the good life, travelling, seeing the worlds and causing quite a ruckus. The family head is Karen Oswalt, with her giant hair and impressive figure, she’s the nightmare of the concierges of the worlds. A penny pinching entitled woman, Terrifying to behold, she Influences the game as she makes demands, Obeys, chats and holds people up in a slow inducing aura. Her totem husband is Oswald Oswalt, a tiny alcoholic man with a big flatulence, he seems to always be in the way, when someone wants to tear his wife’s heart out, but through Sheen serendipity he seems to turn their attacks against themselves, as skillets and banana peels just materialize around him. His main attack is “Tell me, do you have in-sewer-ants”, where he steals soulstones. the Henchman is 50mm Ma’n’Pa, the even more demanding an entitled in-laws. They’re old, but not too old to travel the world - in a bed on wheels - Pa is wary of the world, so always ready to fire up his trust Blunderbus, while Ma is lost in her past prime as a burlesque dancer and has the ability “Do you wanna see me nekid?” causing an aura of willpower checks to push non-Oswalts away screaming. If they hit terrain or other models, they take damage. They also have the ability “What? What did you say dear?” turning off all triggers in an aura around them. Their enforcer is only known as Butler, who will dismember opponents who’d dare ruin the Oswalts holiday with a witty quip and a stiff upper lip. The Oswalts have two sets of minions The Boys and The Grrrls, the boys are a horrible lot up for mischief, they aren’t much by themselves, yet they have an ability to teleport in and gang up on a model engaging another boy and together they can cause serious harm. The grrrrls are all about movement, as they can Lure and Terrorize models in an attempt to find a boyfriend among the locals.
