Ignore terrain & falling.

Zebo

Question

Reading the last doubts about models that ignore terrain not allowed to charge from the floor to the top of a building, I wondered how it should be resolved the opposite.

Models that ignore terrain (like Incorporeal or Diving Charge) takes damage when charging from the top of a terrain to the floor? I'm giving as a fact that this movement is allowed, even to regular models, but ignoring terrain would allow to ignore also the falling damage?

The rules are pretty straightforward: "If a model is ever without any of its base supported by terrain or the table that model falls and suffers falling damage" So as soon as the charging model's base leaves physical borders of terrain, that model falls. There is nothing in the rules, that would allow it to hang in the air several inches above the table.

In this case as the model has no rule that let it ignore the fall damage (incorporeal ignores specifically Hazardous terrain). It'd push until its base is not supported, fall, get damage as usual, continue the push (again ignoring terrain) and if it's in range then generate the attack action.
