GrendelsPRGuy
Do we have any word on if/when the students will be available again. I recently got Von Schtook via a miniatures market sale and am only missing those 3 models (I was given a Valedictorian from a friend). As far as I can tell the box they were in no longer exists. Pergli
No word on it as far as i've seen.
solkan
Yeah, no word yet. But, there's evidence to speculate from: In M2E, there was only really just one card picture for each of the students. And they were each unlimited minions. In M3E, they added additional artwork (including one that's prominently featured in the rulebook) so that each card has unique artwork. So far, if a model's artwork has gotten updated it's gotten a new sculpt eventually. (And if the M3E cards haven't featured new artwork, that has corresponded to the models simply getting repackaged.). That would predict that the following not yet rereleased models are getting new versions: Hoffman and totem Hunters (going from 2 to 3) Guardian (going from 1 to 2) Riotbreaker (going from 1 to 3) Student of Sinew (1 to 3) Student of Steel (1 to 3) Student of Viscera (1 to 2) Rabble Risers (resculpt for 3) Flesh Constructs (1 to 3) (I don't think that's the complete list.) We're basically waiting on a McMourning box, a Hoffman box, a Misaki box, and various 'new for M3E' models. So it may be a while. The M2E University of Transmortis box was full at the just the original four Student models. Going up to 9 different models (a mix of 30mm, 40mm, and 50mm bases), I think the M3E models would have to end up split into two boxes, if all of the new sculpts get produced. At the least, it'd have to be a 'new models' box and 'old models' box. Otherwise that'd end up being some huge $100 box.

I'm hoping they just do a rerelease of the Transmortis box, and then a second box that's 1xViscera, 2xSinew, 2xSteel. For starters, it wouldn't annoy the crap out of people who already had the old Transmortis box, as pretty much any other solution is going to result in either people having to buy more than they wanted, or having to deal with special orders, which is a real pain, especially for us non-USAians. But it'd also be a good move for Wyrd, as they already have the mold for the UoT models, and they're good models. Why redo them?

Resculpts don't qualify sadly. Then it'd be even worse. Though it's possible that that restriction is for models that already exist in sufficient numbers. Like Lucius already existing in the numbers (ie 1) he already exists at. If that doesn't happen, instead of extra sales, I'd just proxy them. As I've said in previous posts, I'm fine with giving Wyrd my money. But I'm not going to waste it. Anything that doesn't get me at least most of the rest of the crew (already have the Albus and Transmortis boxes) without having to buy surplus models, I'm good. Anything that does, there's plenty of steampunk cyborgs out there that'll do the job.
