Concentrate and family

In the family keyword, you will often get concentrate action on models out of their activation thanks to the trigger family value. I copy paste the concentrate action and the family value trigger :

Concentrate
OnceperActivation. This model gains Focused +1

family values : once per activation. Enemy Only. Another Friendly Family model within 6 may either draw a card or take the concentrate action

If a model concentrate then use an action and gets the family value trigger, is the second model limited by the once per activation limit of concentrate ?

"Once Per" effects are all per model.   So each model in the crew can only concentrate once per each activation.  You could not, for example, have Abuela take the family values trigger off her Sharp Wit, then follow that up with "Listen Up, Young'un!" to force that other model to concentrate again.  She *could* have some other model concentrate though, no problem.

I think this is answered in the “Once Per” Effects section on page 33 of the digital rule book (caps/bold for emphasis):

“These limitations are all by action (or ability) and model, so a given model could, for example TAKE MULTIPLE ONCE PER ACTIVATION EFFECTS AS LONG AS THEY WERE ON DIFFERENT ACTIONS OR ABILITIES. Additionally multiple models that have the same action (or ability) with a once per activation can each use that effect once per activation.”

To me that means that even if a Family model Concentrates during their activation, they can Concentrate again from Family Values or vice versa as long as any other Concentrate actions are outside their activation (Obey/Family Values/Listen Up).

This also allows Marcus to draw multiple cards per turn through his Primal Domain effect.

Once Per Turn can only happen once during the entire turn, in or out of a model's activation.

Once Per Activation can only happen once during any individual model's activation, whether that model is the active model or not. So as long as your models meet the conditions, they can concentrate multiple times over the course of their turn, but only once during any activation.

Just a quick update in case anyone is stumbling over this thread:

Based on the Season 1 FAQ from march 2020 (M3E-Season-1-FAQ.pdf), taking once per activation actions should no longer be possible outside a model's activation.

So "iA POR EL!" can no longer be used to make other models concentrate.
