Has anyone had an opportunity to use those during their games? An opponent playing Sonnia used the Thrall to tailored heal off a model that was already going to die. IIRC, the model had 5 Burning, and 3W, and the Thrall was in range due to Drawn to Pain. Figuring a full activation at Stat 6+Crit for Min3 would kill it, it was a simple 3 Heal. theamazingmrg Posted June 6, 2019 Report Share Posted June 6, 2019 The Thralls ability is pretty decent and makes the model quite tanky. I quite like it. The Queller, on the other hand, suffers from having to be quite close to the enemy to use most of its abilities, and then having no melee attack. A 2" Witchling push and the ability to drop a Scheme Marker don't make up for that. It might become more useful as new strats and schemes come out with Gaining Grounds documents, but we'll see. Morgan Vening Posted June 7, 2019 Report Share Posted June 7, 2019 Just looking at it, and there is one thing Quellers do well. If Detonate Charges is in the pool, it should not be difficult in a Sonnia crew to get two Markers down. Billy Joeling it is an uncontested bonus action at significant range, and everything in the crew gives burning, so while it's not THAT effective of a model generally, it should give an easy VP or two almost by itself. It's just a shame Startle is a Bonus too, because locking down an activated model from being pushed, would be awesome for scoring. Can also work to a lesser extent for other Scheme Marker schemes, but DetCharge is definitely the easiest, as it's not reliant on the opponent being where you need to be. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
