LoS being one-way

trikk

Question

Quote

Titans can draw sight lines through non-Titan
Fireteams, and Titan Fireteams ignore non-Titan
Fireteams and Low terrain when drawing sight
lines to a Titan.

Quote

      f                          e1    e2
T     f                         e1   e2
       f                          e1   e2

T is a titan. F is a fireteam friendly to the Titan. E1 and e2 are enemy units.

Withe the Current rules the Titan can see E2 because it can ignore the E1 non-Titan unit for los according to the bulletpoint from the RB.

Now E2 can see F, because it can see through E1 but can't see the Titan because there is no paragraph about non-Titan fireteams being ignored when determining LoS to Titans. This creates a weird situation where LoS is just one-way. Titan sees E2 but E2 doesn't see TItan.

Did I miss something?

That’s how it’s specified.  Yeah, it’s backwards for it works in Warmachine/Hordes (where everyone can see the giant war machines and infantry can hide from giant war machines behind other infantry).

You’re not allowed to look up, I guess.  :)

Wouldn't it, like, be better to see make it work both ways? I think it makes sense to be errated/faqed because it creates some pretty dumb situations 😕

I'm with from a logical point of view, but I think game wise Titans would be pretty dead pretty fast otherwise 😕

It's a hard one to balance...
