Rush and Versatile/Adjunct

DeleteAccount

Question

So, if a model does a Rush order, can it use it's Versatile/Adjunct actions even if they aren't :ToS-Melee: actions? By my reading it's yes, so Kings Hand can run in, kick something in the dick while mowing another unit in bullet hell, eye sapping another and flipping the bird to another (Symbol of the Realm, we all know that this is what it really means). Is that correct or am I offbase?

What's important to remember is that the Order doesn't control the kinds of actions you can take, it only generates a single action per Fireteam.  So in the case of the Rush Order, it generates a :melee action.  However, if you get more actions from other sources (Adjuncts, Versatile, Commander's free Morale action), then you can take those in addition to the action your Order generates and the kind of action the Order generated does not affect those additional actions in any way.

So as an example, if you just want to take advantage of the extra speed from a Rush order, you can have a Commander take the Rush order to go be unengaged over by an Objective Marker, choose to not use the :melee action your Order generated, and spend its free Morale action to claim the Objective Marker.  Or you can have it Rush over to an enemy, attack it, and then use your free Morale action to do whatever.

The actions all have to be legal at the end of the move. In the case of a Titan, it ignores most engagement rules, so yes, it can do all those things. You can use any of the moves before or after the move, just not during it.

In the case of an adjunct, as you've listed it in the title, things change a bit. The sharpshooter has a ranged option, which for King's Empire, can be used with a 2" range while engaged. The Abyssinian Engineer, however, has a ranged option that would not be allowed while engaged.
