cbtb11235813
Why all the hate for this specific upgrade of Sandeep's? Never tried it out, but it doesn't look that terrible. Is it just the fact that it stops you from summoning any non-Banasuva gamin? Or that it makes you play Sandeep as a frontliner, with a pretty miserable 1/2/3 damage track? Is it really that bad of an upgrade, or is it just the opportunity cost of the other limiteds?
retnab
It's not bad, it's just that the others are great. TN-less summoning of Banasuva is great, but yeah having to be in melee to do it sucks. Making Sandeep Tossable seems like it was added on for fun rather than serious usage, and the Burning isn't exactly mind blowing.
WWHSD
Sandeep gives up all of the utility of summoning the Gamin to get some interesting triggers on a weak attack. Summoning Banasuva on a trigger seem cool until you realize that it’s not a built in trigger, it’s on damaging on a 1/2/3 attack, and it’s an attack that you are probably only making so that you can summon Banasuva. You’ll end up wanting to have a highish card of the right suit in hand (or stone for it) and will be wanting to target weaker models. Anything that can stone to prevent damage is likely to keep you from summoning Banasuva. If something comes along that makes Burning awesome this upgrade may get better but as it is if you want to play a melee focused Sandeep than you are probably better off taking Commands as your limited.
cbtb11235813
Makes sense. I may bring this upgrade in a friendly game. It looks like fun, if not very competitive
