retnab
Hey all, so as a personal challenge to myself I've been keeping track of all of my games since January 2016 to see how I've improved over time. These are primarily casual games over at my LGS, but they also include local tournaments, one I came in 1st and several I've come anywhere from top 3 to last place Just a little while ago I finally broke triple digits in games played, and thought it was really cool to take a look at how things have gone! I hope you all find this kind of stuff as interesting as I do, I know I was surprised at my assorted Masters' survival rates more than anything else. Most of these columns should be fairly obvious, but the TP column is the average amount of tournament points per game I'd get with that Master (so, basically just another way of showing Win %). Franchute
I guess you cant really trust the Colette's number given the sample size. Are these numbers mostly gg17?

Squirrelich
Neato! I have been doing something similar, though I only keep track of 50SS ranked events and have not kept track of casual games so my sample size is smaller (only 31 games so far ).https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rgoFUlUZXpNARRs0H4vmDEUidCOhxrZQGEdOy03lA3Q/edit?usp=sharing In short, yes, I do find this stuff as interesting as you do. I also find trying to figure out how much I can program spreadsheets to do for me interesting as well (cause I have it set to view only you can't see that there are drop downs for Columns C-G to populate all the info of a game as well as turning 2016, 2017 and 2018 on and off if I just want to look at a specific year. Changing any of these or adding more info auto populates info on the right)

You can trust the numbers, its just are they signifigant? and actually whilst Colette is the lowest played, she isn't a significant number lower than the other masters, so this is a pretty fair spread. One thing we don't know is how Retnab has improved over time and changed master play over time. And some will be GG2016, but how they break down over time is anyone's guess. retnab
A little over half are actually GG16 and a little under are GG17, with only about 8 using GG18 IIRC. I can share the breakdowns of how things have gone year by year when I get home, but my winrate was much better in 2016 than in 2017, but that was mostly due to playing more Kaeris in 2017 and she had almost half of my losses, so taking her out makes it looks a lot better lol. Turns out I can't win with her and I definitely can't keep her alive
Rillan
Quote Arcanists W/L/D: 2018 5/3/1 --- 2017 14/14/10 --- 2016 30/18/8 So in your honest opinion is it true that overall Arcanists are weaker and almost all games u won in 2017 it was Sandeep crew ? Squirrelich
Thing to keep in mind, while it is a lot of good data, it is also seems Meta specific. For example, not to pump my own spreadsheet up anymore, but in my spreadsheet I have a high overall win rate with Arcanists (71%). But if you limit the data to just non-MN events... not so much. So when talking about my skills as a player overall, the data probably comments more on my meta compared to others than it does on me personally
retnab
IMO arcanists are fine. In 2016 I had good winrates with Ironsides (pre-errata), Ramos, and Raspy and that's stayed true ever since, too. Sandeep is extremely good (60% winrate 80% survival rate and that's with me actively telling my opponents my plans, making what Ca's are available to Beacon always visible, and warning them when they're falling into gotcha's) and IMO if he catches a nerf I wouldn't be surprised. Edit: just realized I didn't answer @Rillan's other question. I got a bunch of wins with the Deep in 2017, but I was also riding the Ironsides pain train so she got a good chunk of my wins that year too. 1
retnab
Okay, I posted the yearly breakdown. In 2016 I held myself to trying to get 10 games with everyone which is why it's so diverse, I guess I was looking back fondly on 2017 but I did worse with just about everyone and played almost exclusively Kaeris (badly) and Sandeep (well). Also, the missing L and D in 2016 in comparison to my signature were games where I tried to make Wrath work, but he's not a master so he's not there.
