We finish looking at the upcoming Undying box with the Wanyudo! Let's take a peek. Wanyudo are the spirits of particularly wicked people who have taken the form of a severed head mounted at the center of a flaming wheel. Typically, only those spirits who abused their power while alive become Wanyudo in death, but Minako Rei can force this punishment upon those she kills. The created Wanyudo are subservient to her wishes, much like beaten dogs. On the tabletop, Wanyudo are fast enforcers that roll over anything in their path, leaving a path of broken and flaming bodies behind them. Kind of hope it is harder to get then just a trigger on attack, or at least have some extra hoops. This is an Enforcer so it should require some sort of extra something to get. Require a Severe, cost two discards, some sort of SS cost, only certain types of targets can trigger, have something like Flicker, or Katrina's issue where the model buries itself afterward. Adran Posted February 27, 2018 Report Share Posted February 27, 2018 It could be like Datsuba, and she puts a condition on the model for when it dies. I think that we'll have a rare limit on the wayundu which is what really limits their power. You'll probbaly easily be able to summon one, but if they are rare one, then you can't summon another until the first one dies. But there are multiple ways to do this and some that are triggers have additional costs to them. Take for example Sonnia's Reincarnation upgrade, it is an ability with an with an additional cost of a SS or two cards. Lampads have a similar ability. Witchling Handlers have theirs as a trigger on an attack but it costs them a SS to summon the witchling stalker and it suffers 3 damage. Nicodem has an odd one on his upgrade Shadow Embrace where if he kills the target with the action he can use his Reanimator action, Rei could have something similar where she can take what ever summons the paper dolls but it summons a Wanyudo instead with the trigger.
