Given the point reduction for the Captain and his upgrade (so, he is basically 10 instead of 12 stones now), does it make that much difference to take Snowstorm over him or is one of them better. They look to be kind of similar. Both provide similar protection, both can move your master and your crew. The Captain is dependant on 6+, Snowstorm on a straight flip to cheat in a moderate on the damage if neccessary (which might result in cheating down the defense, costing up to 2 cards from your hand). Snowstorm is more focused on damage, the Captain more in support and annoying to pin down. But the Captain doesn't have Frozen Heart and Rasputina's crew can't capitalize on burning. And he can't take Frozen Heart upgrades. It seems like a win for Snowstorm....but by what margin? 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

WWHSD Posted January 13, 2018 Report Share Posted January 13, 2018 I think it really comes down to exactly what you want the model to accomplish but Snow Storm is probably still going to be the stronger choice in a Frozen Heart heavy crew. The Captain gets a rather long push that can be used on any model while Snow Storm is limited to just moving Frozen Heart models. The Steamfitter is probably there to pick up the Black and Red Jokers (or other good card) from the discard pile and not to create scrap. Nah I don't like frozen servants as I don't think it lends itself to Raspy's nuking play style. Steam fitter brings good card cycle to save your stones.. generally collecting masks for overpower. Also some cheap scheme running which can be taken while engaged, and the armour can be used on captain or snowstorm. Both have bullet proof I believe which stacks, that's nice. She brings so much more to the crew, the place on rasputina is extremely nice, and she can put out quite a bit of offense, especially when close to an ice gamin. retnab Posted April 24, 2018 Report Share Posted April 24, 2018 Don't forget if you bring the Wendigo it can summon in Ice Gamin with a 10, although then you're not using Ice Pillars or December's Touch. I personally only take Snow Storm, as one model getting a ~10" place is usually more important to my crew than three models getting 5" pushes.
