Brass Monkey
Hey all. Just decided to join the party for TOS. If I sign up now via the backerkit, are funds taken straight away? Thank you
Myyrä
Usually Backerkit will charge your credit card immediately, yes. I guess the project creator might have some control over this.
Brass Monkey
Ok I've taken the plunge at commander level. I'll let you know when funds are taken. Any other players in the Worcester area of UK?
Brass Monkey
Well, no funds taken and message was "Your card will be charged when the project creator decides to collect funds." Hope that isn't too far away as I also need to budget for Christmas, school shoes, food for the family, this month's Malifaux purchases, etc.
gribble
Yes, Backerkit doesn't charge your card until the project creator takes action to do so (usually at the last minute when closing down the project before shipping). Wyrd has basically said they will be closing down Backerkit soon, but not imminently. I.e. I expect it will still be at least a few weeks, possibly months as they announced a 3 month delay in production of the game last week. They now expect it ship everything in March next year, not December this year.
spooky_squirrel
In the meantime, think of it this way: the door is still open to get some awesome looking models ordered, along with an early grab at swag and the potential of hitting the next milestone.
-Loki-
With the project pushed back to March, I wouldn't expect funds to be taken out any time this year.
