OldManMyke
Just a few days left for the defending champions to make a decision about coming over or not, then the ticket will be up for grabs. If they don't come, who is going to snatch the title. Will Flipping Wyrds continue to crush all those before them?
OldManMyke
I have two spare tickets for this if the two reserve teams want them? Please contact me in some way and I will sort
trikk
The third team from Poland will pass
Louie
Any estimated date of when the rules package will be updated or maybe even finalized? :-)

Chou
Hi there! Any update on the rules? I have this teammate who keeps nagging me asking whether there is a painting prize or not and I'm already thinking of giving him one myself so he'll stop bothering.
OldManMyke
Final Rules pack is now available at https://www.dropbox.com/s/y1jftkfftew4bmg/Final.pdf?dl=0 Please note this includes all the strats and schemes for the event so captains can start planning now who will be playing what. There is no painting prize I'm afraid

I guess you're going to need to get him that prize 😂

trikk
Have to say, the total lack of strategical element in the pairings is very dissapointing. Its even worse than last year :/
Bonk
I regret to say this, but I totally agree with Trikk
Louie
Sadly I was thinking the same. Why the simplification? Purely to save time?
Chou
Sorry but I quite don't get it being this our first time, but I don't see the problem. Could it be that in previous years teams did the match ups regardless of points? I thought that pairing depending on each player's points was a standard (at least it has been this way in the Bloodbowl world cups, my biggest team tournaments experience). The issue is not the team to team pairing but the player to player pairing. You have 0 info on the opponent, their faction/master/crew so the strategy element is minimized... You can't sacrifice a player to force better pairings, you can't counter the enemy master etc. 1
ProximoCoal
Well if you work on the basis that everyone knows the strats and schemes in advance you can attempt to work out what sort of forces you may be facing, without being able to directly hard counter. I think at the end of the day you simply won't be able to make everyone happy when you are running an event for 100+ people. I think people need to go with the flow a bit and take their fun from the tons of cool games and great banter with folk from all over the world. I am still waiting for people to swear at me in Polish 1

Its basically like playing a single tournament with slightly favorable scheme pools 1
Bonk
We basically play 5 single games and then add up our score. There is no team experience in in
MalifauxMartin
So am i reading it right, the matchups are totally blind? No strategies like last year, just choosing terrain preference for each player?
Bonk
I believe we know the tables and Strats assigned to each table. And... that's it. Meh
Bober
Do players in UK (or at least judges) know how to play “Eliminate the Leadership” properly??

Tapdancer
Extraordinarily bad timing but is anybody wanting a ticket? Team Harrogate has abandoned ship and are currently playing various Oriental themed games
Louie
Is there an updated team list? Unless teams have signed up and I've missed it, I think there should be a few spots open now? But there has to be plenty of clubs in the UK who should be able to go with a bit shorter notice?

That was a poor attempt at a troll (based on some nonsense following the recent UK Nationals) by an account created 13 minutes before that post...
