Memnaelar
Thought experiment for you *good* Outcasts players: Under what circumstances would you play Hamelin against Reva? What models or tactics do you utilize to make up for the fact that, at my first blush, he seems to be about as poorly suited to face her as a Master can be? I ask because I was just talking it over with a friend and it seems like Reva's ability to drop corpses in the back field puts a lot of pressure on Hamelin to not do his normal rat shuffle if he had that in mind and he seems to be poised to give her a LOT of corpse markers with his normal crew/tactics. LexLock
I haven't actually fought Reva before (for which I'm thankful) but she shouldn't get many corpses out of your summoning as only living and undead models drop corpse markers and even they only drop them when they are killed (not sacrificed), so while I can see that Reva would interrupt his normal rat summoning, his Rats and Rat Kings will never give corpse markers because they aren't living or undead. I think that Sue can help a lot against Reva by making an anti-cast aura and removing corpse markers with Tread The Line (which you can do a bunch more times in a turn either with Hannah or Hamelin's Obey). daniello_s
Try Killjoy-bomb on her. 4 attacks (one from Oathkeeper) with a chance of creating extra swings (trigger) with minimum of 4 damage should made her uneasy.
Freman
Just wheel out our units that remove corpse markers. Finally a use for the Specialist. And yes, in our theme crew Hamelin is not living or undead, Nix is a Spirit, Rat Kings and Rats are not living or undead. The Stolen, Obedient Wretch, Rat Catcher, and The Winged Plague are living, but you can substitute Void Wretches for the Plague, and they drop nothing. You can, if you are determined, produce an Outcast list that has few or no models that drop corpse markers at all, things like Abominations or Ashes and Dust are undead constructs, so you can choose to drop either corpse or scrap markers. Funnily enough, scrap markers do precisely nothing for Reva... just saying. That's not to say that Reva would be a pushover, but Outcasts, perhaps more than any other faction, can look at her regular tricks, stare blankly for a moment, and say, "Oh, nice trick, pity it doesn't work." It's kind of like Freikorps heavy crews against blasters like Rasputina or Sonnia, or Hamelin/Nix/Ashes and Dust against Brewmaster. One of our things is our ability to frustrate other factions that rely on gimmicks. Plus, of course, Outcasts is a very diverse faction. Our masters all play differently, and all can take very different crews if they want to.
Azrrael
I found it actually to be quite the opposite. I use the deso engine and Ashes and dust which both can execute corpse candles and zombies easily and not let them drop markers on crows for Abombs. Also luring reva into death zone with flutes can get you a kill while you activation control corals the crew.
