Can a Lawyer/Lucius use Higher Authority multiple times on the same attack to discard multiple cards for multiple ?

No, because that would require resolving the effect multiple times.

So you don't get multiple Highest Authority uses for the same reason you don't get multiple uses of Commanding Presence at the end of walk action.

Dang, thought as much. Sadly my mental version of the ability didn't include the 'When you are targeted...' bit so I was doing it at will.  Only realised my error when questioned on it.

If you have the mimic upgrade that gives a similar ability on Lucius or a doppleganger nearby you could discard two cards to get the enemy to double negatives.

Good point!  I feel better that what I was doing was at least in the realms of possibility.

Double negatives being a bit excessive, but turning a single positive into a negative so they can't cheat is pretty powerful.

I agree. It requires a massively crappy hand or a good card draw mechanic to get the possibility but in some cases it is worth it to foil that last focused attack they thought would kill your model and score some points.  Lucius and  lawyer hanging out in some cover can sometimes be a tough nut for -heavy crews to crack.
