Translucent models and how to use them?

Hello guys and gals,

I’ve been collecting translucent models here and there and was wondering if anyone has had the same problem I’ve had. I have almost exclusively picked up a translucent model or worse,(better) a box set after I’ve already painted the model in its normal plastic form. I have grown to love my painted model because of the natural charm that grows when sinking hours into painting and playing using them. I like the idea of playing with translucent figures because they’re just so cool but I can’t seem to “retire” my old tried-and-true.

I know, first world problem, but I was wondering if there are any clever and creative ideas that others have found; something as simple as switching it up from time to time or something completely outside the box like grafting them into scenery or other models….

I would love to hear if you’ve seen or done anything clever to solve this pickle I’m in.

Thanks all!
