Vapnartak 2017, February 5th 2017, York, UK SOLD OUT

Recommended Posts

Back to sold out again now.

Prizes nearly all arrived, trophies and certificates are here.  Schemes are flipped, they will be posted here on Friday morning.

Just a reminder, there's no lunch this year so you might want to plan on either bringing some lunch or buying some at the venue.

Schemes have now been added to the first post (all using GG2017).

Looks like we are on the same floor as previous years looking at the floor plan (2nd floor I think), but I'm not sure which side we will be on yet.

Remember, no lunch provided so make plans to either bring or buy your own.

I will have provided the guys on the door a list of all your names, so when you arrive you will be able to get in (your tournament ticket includes the entry costs).

Please could I ask you to slightly fix the first round pairings to keep players from the same groups apart?  For example, all the Scotland-based players face each other fairly regularly so it would be nice to play someone from elsewhere after travelling a couple of hundred miles.  Obviously, rounds two and three are fair game for the sorting process.

Thanks for your hard work as always Chris!

Chris, brilliant event, the legion of York gamers were very welcoming.

Especially liked the long lunch/nap time, that 20 minutes snooze was ideal.

Yeah thanks Chris, had a good day, won a prize, got a painting nod and met a couple of new gamers (thanks for the games Andrew and Haydn... both played Marcus!)

Oh and to add, we raised a massive £261 which went to Help for Heroes (Vapnartak's chosen charity).  That's a huge number so a big thank you from me.

Lost property:  I have the sleeves from a twisted fate deck, and also (and more importantly) the Black Joker from a black Arcane Fate Deck.  If you were using one of those can you check it and let me know and we'll work out a way to re-unite you.

Thanks for another great tournament Chris; I look forward to possibly playing against you at the next one!  Thanks also for the hard work you put in to share the stats breakdown as I always find them interesting.  Only 12 masters not seeing any play at all seems quite reasonable though I'm quite surprised to see only 2 Resurrectionist players at the event.  It looks like there were maybe 3 dedicated Lilith players (I used her also in the first and last rounds).  The spread of schemes selected is pretty wide in the first two rounds, not so much in Head Hunter.

As usual, i also did a write-up about my experience in the event and you can find it here.
