DrEvilmonki Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Because I hope other people might like my stuff as well I am going to put it here. This is what I have painted over the last three weeks to start with, I will start going through my other crews individually and WIP stuff as well. Sensei Yu needs to clean some dust off his pants, silly Sensei Yu When the Gremlin arm moves slightly and suddenly the tweezers shut sending the arm flying off somewhere in your room. Green stuffed his left arm over a bent wire. Pretty happy with the result. Skeeter antennae broke (one on the sprue before I had even tried to clean it). Fashioned new ones from hot glue. Took around 12 attempts before I was happy. 7 Quote
DrEvilmonki Posted October 1, 2016 Author Report Posted October 1, 2016 Have put together Collette crew. This mechanical dove is being summoned out of a top hat. Magic flames are liquid green stuff and heavy gel medium over a wire. 4 Quote
Slartibartfarst Posted October 1, 2016 Report Posted October 1, 2016 Love the idea with the Dove flying out of the hat! looking forward to see How you paint the "magic" 1 Quote

DrEvilmonki Posted October 8, 2016 Author Report Posted October 8, 2016 Ok Gremlins are done as is the dove (although I have to admit I painted the dove at 2am when I was having trouble going to sleep. At some point I will have to revisit it as I am not happy with the flames, but at the moment I have Collette, Lilith, Lucius, Leveticus, and Shenlong crews to paint plus Ramos and his spiders to finish his crew plus sundry other bits, so redoing a 2ss totem isn't high on my list of jobs (Oh plus Zombicide black plague). I am also not happy with the Gremlins eyes but unfortunately my series 7 had an accident with some super glue and bow I feel like I am trying to paint with a house brush Not sure if I am overdoing it with the number (or size of the pictures) so feedback on that would be helpful. Actually I think 600pixels wide would be plenty big enough. Of and at the end is the two skeeter now on their bases and a little bit of painting has occurred on them. 6 Quote
DrEvilmonki Posted October 10, 2016 Author Report Posted October 10, 2016 I see a lot of people saying you can't fit Ramos' totem onto a 30mm base. Here I have simply built out slightly and have three points of contact at the very edge of the tracks, simple really. Just kidding that of course is a 50mm base (that I built out slightly), I am using it as a Large Arachnid. The Steam Arachnid I have the smoke stack on is what I am using as a totem. 2 Quote
DrEvilmonki Posted October 10, 2016 Author Report Posted October 10, 2016 So every time I open this thread the Sensei Yu picture pops up and it's hideous. Here is a better picture. 2 Quote
Argentbadger Posted October 19, 2016 Report Posted October 19, 2016 I love your little conversion of the Dove being created. My favourite thing here so far is the skin tone on Lenny's pig; it looks very realistic. 2 Quote
DrEvilmonki Posted December 12, 2016 Author Report Posted December 12, 2016 Painted the night before a tournament. Magnetized so I can form swarms (the two empty 40mm bases). I didn't like the straight, point up in the air horns. Cut them, put a slight curve in them and then reattached them so they point downwards. I also smoothed it's skin on it's arms. 1 Quote
