hi! i have started playing malifaux this year and so far only gotten a few 35 and 40 ss games with zoraida in. since we have a local club starting a league now in september, i wanted to pick the communities brains about some good 50ss lists. i have already started painting lilith as my 2nd master, so it isn't all too obvious what i play when the league starts.

now my zoraida crew already has some models outside the box, such as mcT, waldgeists and nurses and i feel like i start to get a hang of her and how to use her altho i'm still learning a lot every game. so i'm defenetly open to list suggestions for her too :)

however the main question for me is how to build my lilith crew. i was going for a growth list, but it seems like (reading through this forum), these are not really reliable. what 50ss list would you recommend for her? and which strats and shemes does which crew manage best? i feel like zoraida with swampfiends works very well for sheme running missions. but in most of my games i started off with less models, thus less activations than my opponents and the few i had usually got killed off faster than i could kill my opponents models.

i look forward to ur suggestions and learning more about this amazing game!

Lilith (Wicked, Beckon, 3rd upgrade) - Cache about 7

Bad Juju (Eternal Fiend, maybe Hexed Among You if favorable) - 11ss

Waldgeist - 6ss

Waldgeist - 6ss

Waldgeist - 6ss

Silurid - 7ss

Silurid - 7ss

Terror Tot (maybe)

Change Juju for McT if you want, or play both in Reckoning. Start adding Terror Tots as runners instead of Silurids, add Young Nephilim as a beater if you don't need the 3 Waldgeist.

Basically play a crew with models you are comfortable with, just add some differences to test the new models.

Buy Doppleganger (good overall), Graves (Beater, tanky, and movility for crew) or even the Jakob Lynch box, which will give you a new master and the Illuminated, who are good with all 3.

If I'm being completely honest, Lilith doesn't have a core crew for me.  If I feel like playing Lilith, or if I think her trees or movement will come in handy, I'll choose her.  However, my crew with her is built for whatever the game needs.  Completely built on scheme and strategies, and then Lilith is thrown on top.

She is thematically a Nephilim.  Although, there isn't really anything on her card that benefits them specifically.  She is a completely independent master, and your crew can be hired to do anything you want.  I'd use a crew you're familiar with and have them lead it.  Mainly because she's got so many tricks anyways, she's slightly hard to learn.

Best advice I've heard when learning Lilith is from Schemes and Stones.  It was suggested to play her as if she doesn't even have her sword.  Use her vines and teleport ability and get used to them.  That way, when the sword comes into play, it's just icing on the cake.

Lilith and Zoraida were my first two masters and I've slowly built them up and played around with different.

for a Lilith growth list (which I've played at several tournaments and its currently running at more wins than losses), depending on strat and schemes I would go with

Lilith - Beckon Malifaux and possibly living blade, (3SS)

Primordial Magic (2SS)

Nekima with True Mother (15SS)

Tuco or Graves with Rapid Growth (8 or 9SS)

Black Blood Shaman (7SS)

3 Tots (12SS)

For a Zoraida Swampfiend build, again depending on Strat and schemes, Id run

Zoraida - Tarot Reading + Crystal Ball (4SS)

Bad Juju - Eternal fiend (10SS)

McTavish - Hexed Among you (11SS)

Spanw Mother - Protect the young (10SS)

Nurse - (6SS)

2 Gupps (8SS)

Though this will change once the Will-o-the-Wisps come out.

I find both masters can work well with almost anything in Neverborn. I regularly run Zoraida with Teddy and a mature with doppleganger and widow weaver just for beaty fun.

Or run Lilith with Lelu, Lilitu, Tuco, Hannah, tots and doppleganger for pushes and lures with pounces. Or Zoraida with the same bunch.

its all down to what you like and get on with.  Theyre both very fun masters to get your head around.
