Since she is herself a showgirl, can she place herself with this spell?

Bullet point #3 of Drawing Line of Sight:

Quote

•Models always have LoS to themselves.

So she can see herself.  And double checking targeting rules, it's worth pointing out that the reason you can't target yourself with an attack is because of a specific clause of the Attack Action rules:

Attack Actions require a target and LoS (see pg. 40). In addition, a model may never target itself with an Attack Action, unless specifically allowed by another rule.

That's what prevents a model attacking itself.  But the main Action rules and the Tactical Action rules don't have that restriction, so tactical actions can target the model itself if all of the other restrictions are satisfied.

 

So, short version:  Yes, you can.
