graeme27uk
How do you prevent modular boards from slipping apart during play? Do you use doweling rods / magnets / velcro? I can see modular boards of 9 1x1ft square being easy to store but having it "fall apart" during play would be annoying. Guess you could do 4x 18" squares. Munindk
I've seen it done with dowels and magnets. If you plan to travel with the board, I'd go with magnets, as the dowels arent very handy they could snap off. OP in this thread explains how to do it with dowels and a few posts down another poster explains how to do it with magnets.
Omenbringer
Attach felt to the bottom of the boards and that can help dramatically. If they continue to separate during play then the felt will provide a good surface to apply some velcro strips to.
wolpertinger_press
Rubber sticky things you can buy at a hardware store. Slap em on the corners of the underside of your boards and voila!
