LennyB
So. Playing guard the stash against a decent Levi player and I've never gone against Levi. I know I'll see A&D. Not sure what kind of crew to bring. Schemes: convict , hunting, occupy, exhaust, quick murder. Trying to to figure out what master and crew. Choosing between Kirai, McM, and Tara. I have plenty of models so can probably pull off just about any list. Help me Obi Wan, you are my only hope.
MEGAHORSE
I've only faced Levi with Horror Molly, but Kirai is definitely an all around solid pick. McM, if he can get close, can make those Waifs into some flesh constructs if he's lucky. With Horror Molly I've relied on the Killjoy bomb to pressure Alyce and Libarians and usually have Sybelle and Molly deal with Ashes and Dust/Levi by getting in their face and waste their AP chasing her down/killing her Punk Zombies. benjoewoo
What kind of deployment do you have? Do you know the map/initial deployment order? I don't have the A&D card, but iirc you cannot kill A&D because it turns into ashen core and dust storm, so quick murder is unlikely to work. If I'm wrong on this, quick murder might be a good bet. Tara, 2 voidling wretches, and Aionus = GG Leve when he finally buries. Play to force him to bury early and wail on him while he's buried Convict Labor is likely a good choice with guard the stash. Hard for me to speak on choosing between exhaust and hunting party. I'd go for exhaust normally, but if Leve brings meta picks knowing you're ressers, it'll be painful keeping them exhausted without strong manipulation. Hunting party is here because Leve is unlikely to have too many minions/peons other than the waifs, so if you can gimp Leve early then picking off waifs will be easy since they're useless to your opponent. I might pick up occupy if you think your void wretches will live long enough to make it to the opposite side of the board. This would heavily depend on deployment. Hope that helps! Kadeton
You can definitely kill the Ashes & Dust, and it counts for A Quick Murder even though it splits into Core and Storm and can reform later. If the Levy player is careless, he will sacrifice it for you and you'll get the scheme automatically - Levy will often do this for extra movement or cards in the first turn. It's a really safe bet that A&D will be killed or sacrificed before Turn 4, since that's its main trick. I'd recommend McMourning for this particular game. Kirai's solid, but Levy doesn't struggle to overcome the flood of Spirits in the way that other Masters often do. Tara is obviously a good option - if you know you're facing Levy and you want to stomp your opponent, Tara and Aionus can really get the job done but it won't be a particularly fun game for either of you. McMourning's got the mobility to hunt down Waifs and has the easiest time finishing off A&D, so your opponent will have to be very cautious with those pieces which will make your life easier.
Adran
The downside to Kadetons suggestion is that it makes a quick murder on Ashes and dust harder to do if you pick McMorning. Because there is no way I would kill my own ashes and dust if there is an anti Armour melee fiiend about. And I'm much more likely to try and protect him if I don't think I'd be able to get him back.
enderwiggin
Tara with her theme crew is pretty much a solid counter to Levi. Maybe leave Aionus at home, but use Tara so she can pressure the Levi player without making it a complete NPE. Or maybe just Aionus. I have him but haven't found him worth it most of the time. :I
SpiralngCadavr
Yeah, unless really aggressively attacking buried stuff, Tara's really not going to ruin leveticus's day, even though she does have strong options.
LennyB
I ended up trying Horror Molly out for he first time and took Taelor for A&D duty. Taelor really didn't do much for me. She is really slow. However I did have Quick Murder on A&D and my opponent obliged me with 3 points by sacking it turn 1. Hunting party was fairly easy as well with all the aboms running around. Ended up losing by one. 9-8. Molly was a bunch of fun!
